PURPOSE:To print a large drawing without expanding a picture element of every line by bringing a video expansion medium to logical division in accordance with the large drawing, bringing screen data of a part of the large drawing, namely, a part of plural small drawings to picture element expansion, and unifying and printing expanded picture element data. CONSTITUTION:A drawing generating device is provided with a dividing and utilizing means for coordinating logically a video memory 13 to plural small drawings. A picture element expanding mechanism 12 brings a part of screen data of plural small drawings concerned to picture element expansion from a file 11 to the video memory 13 allocated logically to plural small drawings. A screen printing mechanism 16 unifies the picture elements divided and expanded on this video memory 13, and prints it as a part of a large drawing. Also, a screen display mechanism 14 displays dividedly a part of plural small drawings on the video memory 13, that is, disruptively a part of the large drawing on a display 15. In such a way, the large drawing can be printed without executing a picture element expansion of every line, and the picture element can be expanded efficiently. |
