PURPOSE:To halve a welding time with moving a work head by half the distance of the confronting line by welding simultaneously the confronting line of both bodies to be welded each half the distance with two laser beams of both laser beaming heads. CONSTITUTION:A clamper 2 of the inlet side and clamper 1 of the outlet side are moved toward the medium part of both laser work heads 4a, 4b and the cutting face of both bodies 3a', 3b' are confronted at the medium position M of the work heads 4a, 4b. When a rotary shaft 10 is then rotated 90 deg. counter clockwise, the laser beaming line of the work heads 4a, 4b is coincided with the confronting line of both bodies 3a, 3b to be welded. Welding is performed by irradiating laser beam toward a confronting line Z, with retreating the work head 4a of the rear part of the inner weld progressing direction of work heads 4a, 4b upto the rear end part of the confronting line Z and with moving the travelling truck again to the welding direction. At the time when the work head 4b of the front part of weld progressing direction reaches the front end part of the confronting line Z, the welding of the confronting line Z is completed. |
