A rear under view mirror apparatus for a vehicle is provided to employ an obstacle detector at the rear central portion of a vehicle in order to prevent the rear portion of a vehicle from being damaged by an obstacle when the rear under view mirror is spread. A rear under view mirror is made of a semitransparent glass and a smart glass. The rear under view mirror is installed at a rear window(120) made of a transparent glass. The rear window and the rear under view mirror are formed in the shape of a convex. A rotation driving part(200) is provided at the lower portion of the rear under view mirror. A rear under view mirror(110) becomes a convex mirror when the rear under view mirror is spread through the rotation of the upper end of the rear under view mirror.
