The device has a main safety assembly integrating a humidity sensor (15) placed in a space between glasses (13) of a double glazing unit. A triggering unit triggers an alarm when the detector detects increase in a humidity rate between the glasses. A secondary safety assembly integrates a push button (17) located in a frame of the double glazing unit and detects the opening of the frame with respect to a window or fixed frame (9). An independent claim is also included for an equipment comprising a double glazing unit.
