<p>PURPOSE:To attain the transmission reception of a high definition still picture with high quality by utilizing part of a transmitter. receiver for the television broadcast of a conventional NTSC system and adding a picture memory and a memory controller or the like. CONSTITUTION:A data of a high definition still picture obtained by a high definition TV camera 1 is stored in a picture memory 3 at the sender side and read by a memory controller 4 while being divided into picture data by plural frames of the NTSC system and sent to transmission sections 6, 8 of the NTSC system. An NTSC system tuner 11 selects and receives the sent picture data at the receiver side and the data is stored sequentially in a picture memory 15 and a high definition still picture data is read by the memory controller 16, sent to a high definition picture display section 18, in which a high definition still picture is displayed. Thus, the high definition still picture is sent and received.</p> |
