PURPOSE:To reduce the draft friction in evaporation and improve the heat- exchange capacity by a method wherein cut-raised pieces formed on a fin are tilted against the flow direction of air, and a water drip path, where no cut- raised part is formed, is vertically provided in around the middle of the space between two heat transfer pipes, that are vertically arranged, perpendicularly to the flow direction of air. CONSTITUTION:In case a heat exchanger is used as an evaporator, water drops are produced between adjacent cut-raised parts, however, the water drops flows down along a water drip path 15 because the upper faces of cut-raised parts 17a, 17a' and 20a are located above those of cut-raised parts 18a, 19a and 19a' and, in addition, the cut-raised pieces of the cut-raised parts 17a, 17a', 18a, 19a, 19a', and 20 are tilted against the flow direction of air. Therefore, the heat-exchange capacity is further increased.
