PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of developed color fog even during storage at high temperature and to enhance the storage stability of a recording image by containing not only specific benzene but also at least one kind of a salt of an olefin/acrylic acid copolymer as a binder in a thermal recording layer and providing a protective layer on the thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material utilizing the reaction of a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a coupler capable of forming a color upon the contact with said dye, 1-[alpha-methyl-alpha-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]-4-(alpha',alpha'-bis (4''-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl] benzene is contained in a thermal recording layer and at least one kind of a salt of an olefin/acrylic acid copolymer is contained therein as a binder and a protective layer is provided on said thermal recording layer. As the basic dye, 3-dibutylamino-6-methyl-7-phenylaminofluorane and 3-dibutylamino-7-(o-chloropheylamino) fluorane are preferable because a lowering of whiteness at high temperature is extremely little. |
