PURPOSE:To enable to perform a reliable control of knocking without being influenced by a background value even if knocking occurs frequently, by a method wherein an integration is not made during knocking. CONSTITUTION:An output of a knock sensor 1 is connected to an integrating circuit 3 and a peak hold circuit 4 via a buffer 2, and the output is A/D-converted by an A/D converter 6 according to an instruction from a microcomputer 5. A voltage hold circuit 8 is driven by means of a gate signal from the microcomputer 5. The integrating circuit 3 integrates signals from the knock sensor 1 during knocking, and the peak hold circuit 4 fetches a peak voltage from the knock sensor 1 during knocking. The voltage hold circuit 8 holds the output value of the integrating circuit 3 at a terminal of a background period till a next background period. |
