The invention relates to a conveying trough having trough sections (1) which are coupled to a trough strand and the lower floor plates (3, 3') of which form the conveyor floor and overlap at the joints (10) between the trough sections. According to the invention, each of the two adjacent trough sections (1) has, on its floor plate (3, 3') an axial floor projection (11) which overlaps the joint between the trough sections and, laterally offset with respect to the said projection (11), a pocket (12), the floor projection (11) extending from the middle (M) of the floor until it approximately reaches the region of one lateral profile section (2) of the trough section, and the assigned pocket (12) extending from the middle (M) of the floor up to the lateral profile section (2), situated opposite it, of the trough section.
