PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fabric, having high-class appearance without a white fading phenomenon and capable of eliminating plastics-like appearance by providing a fabric with fine unevennesses on the side of pile yarns constructing the fabric without the fine unevennesses in the tip parts according to a specific method. CONSTITUTION:The objective fabric, obtained by initially using a polyester fiber containing 0.1-5wt.% fine particles (preferably silica sol, etc.) having <100m average particle diameter and 0.1-2wt.% delustering agent (preferably anatase type titanium dioxide) as a pile yarn to provide a pile fabric, then reducing the weight of the above-mentioned pile yarn with an alkali to elute >=2wt.% aforementioned fiber and finally shearing the tip parts of the above-mentioned pile yarn and having fine unevennesses on the side of the pile yarn without any fine unevennesses in the tip cross-sectional part of the pile yarn. Furthermore, the weight reduction with the alkali is preferably carried out at ambient temperature to 100 deg.C by using an aqueous solution of NaOH or KOH in 0.1-30wt.% concentration. |
