PURPOSE:To vary the set magnification of automatic zooming to an optional value by easy operation by calculating magnification after manual zooming operation and employing the magnification as the magnification of the automatic zooming. CONSTITUTION:The automatic zooming is carried out by calculating the focal length of a photographic lens automatically from magnification data set in a magnification setting means 53 and the distance to a subject which is measured by a distance measuring means 52. When the set magnification is varied, the focal length of the photographic lens which is obtained by the automatic focusing operation is calculated reversely by a varied magnification arithmetic means 54 to find current photographic magnification, which is set by a set magnification varying means 55 as the photographic magnification of the magnification setting means 53. Therefore, a finder is peeped in actually to determine the set magnification of the automatic zooming operation over a look at a subject image. Consequently, the photographic magnification required to calculate the focal length in the automatic zooming operation can be varied to an optional value by the easy operation. |
