Automatic EM radiation attenuator - uses crystal in closed glass tube with embedded chrome or iron ions as paramagnetic ions

The paramagnetic ions are embedded in a neutral crystal lattice of aluminium or titanium oxide. Glass balls (3) are also arranged in the glass tube (1) along with the crystal (2), but are only used for spatial fixing of the crystal.
