In a method for drawing a tube length which is joined from individual tube lengths, the tube is hollow-drawn in the region of the joining point until the drawing force is able to act behind the joining point. In the case of the use of a drawing drum (spinner block, bull block) or a V-disc, an additional force acts on the tube between the die and the joining point until the drawing force is applied by the drawing drum or the drawing disc, in which case the joining point is virtually free from drawing forces.
