PURPOSE:To secure proper idle revolutions at all times by suspending boost control by means of an idle control valve while a portion opened based on the boost control of the idle control valve is being subtracted when the temperature of cooling water is less than a specified one. CONSTITUTION:An engine revolution control device has both an air regulator 5 and an idle control valve 7 interposed to auxiliary air passages 3 and 4 bypassing a throttle valve 2 in an intake air passage 1 wherein the regulator is opened in response to an engine cooling condition and the idle control valve is controlled by signals from a control means 6 but executes idle revolution control and boost control. When the temperature of cooling water detected by a detecting means 8 is low, boost control by the idle control valve 7 is suspended by a suspension means 9 while a portion opened based on the boost control of the idle control valve 7 is being subtracted, and an increase in boost pressure by the air regulator 5 is prevented at the time of speed reduction with the air regulator 5 opened. This constitution can thereby prevent engine revolutions from being increased at the time of speed reduction, and also can prevent revolutions from being excessively increased at the time of idling. |
