PURPOSE:To obtain the title foam having excellent abrasion resistance and useful for steering wheel, shift knob, etc., by subjecting a mixture containing an isocyanate and polyol at a specific ratio to heat foaming in the presence of a CFC based foaming agent in a closed mold. CONSTITUTION:A raw material consisting of an isocyanate (e.g. diphenylmethanediisocyanate) and polyol (preferably polyetherpolyol having 3000-8000 molecular weight) and controlled so that equivalent ratio of NCO/OH is 1.15-1.35 is subjected to foaming reaction in the presence of a CFC based foaming agent (e.g. trichloromonofluoromethane) in a closed mold retained at 40-70 deg.C to provide the aimed foam having 0.3-0.9g/cm<3> average density. |
