The invention relates to a device for a seat which has a support surface for sitting on it, which is characterised in that the support surface of the device is lifted and lowered in a repeatable, chosen rhythm over the entire surface or over parts thereof during loading by the individual sitting on it. This is effected by means that are conventional in the prior art and which can be installed at different places in the seat. The seat may be, for example, a chair, a bench, a couch, a stool, a vehicle seat, a furniture seat.
