The present invention relates to a smart window using a glass bead and liquid crystal, and a method of manufacturing the same. Instead of the polymer matrix of a smart window according to the related art, a smart window according to the present invention is manufactured by using a glass bead as a glass material. In addition, liquid crystal is placed at an outside of the glass bead such that the size, shape, and array of the liquid crystal is made uniformly. Thus, the present invention provides a smart window which has high safety and chemical resistance, and a low operating voltage. In addition, the optical property of the smart window is improved so that the variable range of the light transmittance in an on (light transparent) or off (light non-transparent) state is enlarged. |
