A knitting method which employs a sinker head ring and a sinker cap ring, both at a certain inclination, due to which the sinker moves obliquely and its working plane rises or descends correspondingly, thus reducing the work travel in lifting and forming the stitch of the needle, and reducing to a minimum the cam race. Thus the number of yarn feeders and the productivity can be increased until double is attained.
