PURPOSE:To produce an initially chargable paste type nickel cadmium storage battery conveniently and quickly, by assembling a yet-formed plate where the water containing the binder and the organic mixture solvent having the compatibility with the water is added to CdO powder to produce the paste which is applied then dried. CONSTITUTION:The powder mainly composed of CdO containing CdO or metallic Cd is added with the water solution of the binder such as PVA and the organic mixture solvent such as ethylene gloycol compatible with the water then it is mixed and left to react CdO with the water. The paste containing Cd(OH)2 thus produced is filled in a porous plate then dried to produce the negative plate which is not applied with the formation but combined with the positive plate then assembled in the cell to produce the paste type Ni.Cd storage battery. |
