PURPOSE:To remove a residual potential without shortening the life of a photo sensitive body and to obtain a fine image by providing a photoirradiating device other than an exposing device by which an organic photoconductor is irradiated from its rear face. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 10 reaches a transfer charger 21 and transfers a toner image on a sheet fed in synchronization with the toner image. In this case,the photosensitive body 10 is given AC charge by the transfer charger 21 from its surface while it is irradiated with light beams by a halogen lamp 24 from its rear face through a first slit 27. On the other hand, after the sheet is peeled off and residual toner is removed from the photosensitive body 10 by a cleaning device 23, the halogen lamp 24 destaticizes and exposes the photosensitive body from its rear face through a second slit 28. Then, surface potential becomes to approximately 0[V] and following copying is attainable. Thus, a residual potential is prevented from rising and a fine image can be obtained. |
