<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize the detector and to prevent its resolution from decreasing by arranging detector units so that their front surfaces are arrayed almost linearly. CONSTITUTION:The respective detector units 2 are linear detecting element array of either channels which receive X rays passed through a body to be detected and convert the X rays into electric symbols as detection symbols. The respective units 2 are in the same shape and arranged facing a ray source 3 so that the front surfaces 2a of the respective units are arrayed almost linearly. Consequently, the depth of the detector 1 constituted by storing the units 2 in a rectangular detector housing 4 is nearly equal to the depth l of each unit 2. Namely, there is no waste of a depth-directional space and the size of the detector 1 is reduced. Therefore, the overall size of a shield chamber where the ray source, detector, and body to be detected are housed to perform detection is reduced. Further, the distance between a unit 2 nearby the center and the body to be detected can be decreased to improve the resolution.</p> |
