<p>PURPOSE:To use batteries uniformly by a method wherein the open terminal voltages of two sets of batteries and the terminal voltages of the same upon connecting dummy load are measured while a battery, whose difference between the terminal voltages is smaller, is compared with a memorized previously used battery to control the switching of the batteries. CONSTITUTION:The open terminal voltages of two sets of backup batteries 20, 22 and the terminal voltages of the same upon connecting dummy loads 34, 38 through switches 32, 36 are measured by a measuring means 2. A battery, whose voltage difference between an open terminal voltage and a voltage when the dummy load is connected is smaller, is selected to store it into a memory means 4. The condition of the selected battery is compared with the condition of a memorized previously used battery in a comparing means 6 to determined a battery to be used this time and output a switching control signal. According to this method, the using history or the using degree of the battery is considered whereby the using of the batteries may be equalized.</p> |
