PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a document by sending a sheet over a paper exhaust guide with curving, and retreating the sheet while the rear end of the sheet having the top end regulated by a base stopper being kicked up in a circulating type automatic document feeder. CONSTITUTION:An exposed document is guided from a lower returning port 24 by a paper exhaust guide 41 by the rotation of a paper exhaust roller 42 and a paper exhaust auxiliary roller 43, inserted on the lower surface of documents accumulated on a document stacker 11, carried in such a manner that the sheet is curved by the rotation of a semi-circular roller 44 as a carrying means, and stopped by the contact of the top end with a base stopper 31. At the same time, the rear end of the sheet is retreated with being kicked up by a reversely rotating kicking lever 45, and held on the paper exhaust guide 41. Hence, the jam sheet can be circulated at high speed without giving any damage to the sheet. |
