This invention relates to a process and device for the heat treatment of lime slurries.
<??>The device is characterised in that it comprises a drying pipe 2 for guiding the combustion gases arising from the oven for the recombustion of the lime 6 to a separation cyclone 3, a feed screw 1 for controlled charging of the lime slurry arising from a lime slurry filter 4 and for delivering this measured slurry to a vertical part of the drying pipe and means 7, 8 for removing the dried slurry, separated in the separation cyclone, and for delivering it to the oven for the recombustion of the lime.
