<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the magnetic characteristics of the magnetic head always well by forming a tape guide of a thermoplastic resin compounded with potassium titanate having a whisker structure. CONSTITUTION:The tape guide is formed by using the thermoplastic resin compounded with the potassium titanate having the whisker structure. The compounding ratio of the potassium titanate having the whisker structure is preferably set at >=5wt.% and <=40wt.% of the weight of the thermoplastic resin. The effect of preventing the dislodgment of the magnetic powder from the magnetic tape is not obtd. if the compounding ratio of the potassium titanate is below 5wt.%. The surface of the tape guide roughens and there is the problem that the dislodgment of the magnetic powder of the magnetic tape arises if the compounding ratio of the potassium titanate exceeds 40wt.%. The adhesion of the magnetic powder of the magnetic tape to the tape-sliding surface of the magnetic head is prevented in this way and the magnetic characteristics of the magnetic head are maintained always well.</p> |
