PURPOSE:To automate the feeding of a wire rod by providing a mechanism for feeding the wire rod provided with chucking devices to arms moving horizontally between a rotary carrier and a working device thereby chucking the front end of the wire rod placed on the rotary carrier and transferring the same to the working device. CONSTITUTION:Chucking devices 51, 52 of moving arms 49, 50 which are provided between a rotary carrier 15 and a working device 21 and are horizontally movable, chucking the front end of a coiled wire rod 16 held by the holder 18 of the carrier 15. The arms move horizontally to transfer the front end of the wire rod 16 to the wire rod feed section 22 of the device 21 such as a header or the like. |
