The parachute canopy, the line and the support structure for the load, are folded and packed into a simple container formed by layers of fabric (11, 12, 13) joined by an edge seam (14). The two outer layers (11, 13) have central openings (17, 18) through which the parachute is packed and through which it is extracted when deployed. The holder can have several chambers (15, 16) formed by several layers of fabric. The sewn seam has a limited strength and the fabric layers are circular for a symmetrical shape for dropped loads. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple construction and rapid deployment of parachute; simple packing action.
