Mono television pictures which are reproduced with a predetermined picture frequency (frame frequency) can be perceived with three dimensional effects when using spectacles (9) which have glasses (10) which can switch electrically between transmission and blocking, and a control circuit (2, 5) which alternately switches the glasses (10) to transmission as a function of the frame synchronising pulses. A complicated processing of the television pictures can be thus avoided. <IMAGE>
