An operation needle for middle ear and accident surgery, and for reconstruction of the rear wall of the auditory canal has a dependent drop of an aq. mixt. of a glass-ionomer material hardening to a glass-ionomer cement. USE/ADVANTAGE - The mixt. has good flow properties and is less sensitive to moisture, water and aq. liqs. Applns. include treatment of fractures of the face and skull, and bridging defects in small bones of the ear.
