PURPOSE:To facilitate the orientation processing of a color filter side substrate by setting the liquid crystal of a liquid crystal cell to a tilt orientation and a roughly homogeneous orientation on a first substrate and a second substrate, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal of a liquid crystal cell is set to the tilt orientation and the roughly homogeneous orientation, on the first substrate 31 and the second substrate 32, respectively. In such a manner, by only executing a tilt orientation processing to the substrate of one side, the d/p margin expands to some extent, therefore, it is not always necessary to execute the tilt orientation processing to the substrates of both sides. Consequently, in the second substrate 32 provided with a color filter 33, the tilt orientation processing becomes unnecessary, and the orientation processing of the substrate of the color filter side is facilitated. |
