<p>PURPOSE: To easily hold a terminal in a connector and easily electrically engage one connector with another by providing the terminal which extends one contact leg out of each joint and keeps spacing to the side wall of a terminal storage hole. CONSTITUTION: A first portion at the axial inner end of a terminal 20 cooperates with the shoulder 70 of a corresponding connector housing 52. When the terminal is inserted into the hollow portion of the housing 52, the first portion the inner end is engaged with the shoulder to operate as a stopper means. In this way, all terminals can be correctly inserted into the housing 52. The terminals 20 correctly positioned are prevented from shift by the inside cooperation with the shoulder. A contact leg 6 is extended out of the second part at the axial inner end. Only one leg 6 is extended out of each axial portion and provided with an engagement portion 76 near the end. The engagement portion cooperates with the pin 80 of another connector for electric engagement between both of them. As the leg 6 keeps spacing to the side wall of the opening hole 58 of the housing 52, the pin, if somewhat in disorder of array, is acceptable.</p> |
