PURPOSE:To rapidly paint out respective picture elements by means of a memory with small capacity by using a two-dimensional image memory constituted so that each picture element has more than 2-bit depth. CONSTITUTION:Since the two-dimensional image memory 3 constituted so that each picture element has more than two-bit depth, the direction of the boundary of a graphic can be stored. Namely, respective points on the boundary of the graphic are marked in the clockwise or counterclockwise direction and the marks are stored in the image memory 3. The marks in the image memory 3 are added from one end of each line and whether the number of intersecting points with the boundary of the graphic coincides with the clockwise or counterclockwise points on the boundary at the intersecting points or not can be decided from the added value, so that the mechanism can correspond to both of an even/odd system and a non-zero winding system. Since the processing is executed for all lines constituting the image memory 3, the inside of a closed graphic can be painted out by a painting circuit. |
