PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive material high in sensitivity and superior in light-resistance by incorporating an org. photoconductive material sensitized with a specific alkylaminostyryl dye compd. to form a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The aminostyryl dye to be used as a sensitizer is represented by formula I or II in which A1, A2 are each >N-Ro, (Ro being H or alkyl), O, S, Se methylene or vinylene; R1, R2, R11, R12 are each H, alkyl, halogen, cyano, alkoxy, or the like; R3, R4, R13, R14 are each H or halogen; X1, X2 are each an anion; n1, n11 are each 1 or 2; n2, n12 are each 1-10; and n3, n13 are each 1 or 2. About 0.01-50pts.wt. of said dye is added to 100pts.wt. of an org. photoconductor, such as poly-N-vinylcarbazole to form a photoconductive layer contg. it, and when the photoconductive layer is of a laminated type, preferably, it is added to an electrostatic charge generating layer. |
