<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the text processing by causing a processor to not only execute the instruction of a host editor but also execute the instruction of a punctuating device for the purpose of presenting fix-up data. CONSTITUTION: When executing the instructions from a host editor 62 and a punctuating device 64 of a program 60, a processor 52 accesses various data structures in a data memory 70. After request reception in a box 10, text data corresponding to the text in a text frame 12 is processed in a box 20 to acquire processed text data corresponding to a text indicated in a text frame 22. Finally, fix-up data which defines the sequence of operations which processes text data furthermore so that the corresponding text has an appropriate text type punctuation structure is given in a box 30. Thus, the sequence is executed to obtain modified text data corresponding to a modified text indicated in a text frame 32.</p> |
