PURPOSE:To manufacture a resin shell plate whose rigidity is extremely high and facial external appearance is favorable, by a method wherein a composite comprised of a filler and thermosetting resin is molded by reaction injection molding method R.RIM employing a reinforcement material and a skin layer comprised of the thermosetting resin is formed on the surface of an obtained core material with RIM. CONSTITUTION:A core material is a composite possessing a matrix and a glass mat and long-fiber glass respectively as a matrix and reinforcement material, which improves rigidity of the whole of a shell plate and contributes to its shape retention. These reinforcement materials may be used by arranging within a mold beforehand prior to R.RIM. Contents of these fillers are established so as to fall within a range of 30-50wt.% to a core body weight. A matter is good whatever it may be if the matter is of a polymer to be obtained as a result of the RIM as the thermosetting resin of the other element of the core material and RIM urethane, nylon RIM and epoxy RIM can be mentioned in a concrete form. A skin layer to be formed by coating the surface of a core material is constituted of the thermosetting resin formed of the RIM. In this case, when the skin layer is of the same kind as the thermosetting resin of the matrix of the core material, adhesion strength between the skin layer and the surface of the core material is improved. |
