PURPOSE: To function a heat shrinkable sheath as a baffle to flowing in fluid by putting this sheath on a sleeve housing a bundle of filter fibers and arranging this sheath at the same level as a lateral baffle penetrating a housing. CONSTITUTION: The bundle 2 of the filter fibers is mounted within a housing 4 having a lateral inlet or outlet orifice 5. The heat shrinkable sheath 6 is put on the sleeve 3 housing the bundle 2 and this sheath 6 is arranged at the same level as the lateral orifice 5 penetrating the housing 4 and is functioned as the baffle to the flowing liquid. The inexpensive constitution of the baffle for protecting the filter fiber bundle is thus made possible.
