The invention relates to paper filter cones for infusions of coffee and the like, characterised by the addition of an ellipsoidal disc 6 preferably cut from the same porous paper weave from which the filter cone was made, or from any other material having similar filtering properties, which is placed on top of the coffee 3. According to the invention this disc will have the function of reducing the impact of the water 1, preventing the formation of a crater in the middle of the ground coffee that would reduce the impregnation of grains thrown against the walls of the filter cone, and thus encourage uniform distribution of the water 1 over the coffee 3.
