<p>PURPOSE:To absorb variance in characteristics of a step motor by selectively setting the resistor of a detecting resistance according to the step motor, thus eliminating the need for an external resistance and reducing the size of the timepiece. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating circuit, frequency dividing circuit, pulse width synthesizing circuit, rotation detecting circuit, and step motor are provided, and the rotation detecting circuit discriminates on the rotation of the rotor of a step motor on the basis of whether potential difference between both ends of a detecting resistance generated by a detecting current is large or not. The resistanc value of said detecting resistance of the analog electronic timepiece is set selectively according to the step motor. For example, resistance elements 41-48 connected in series are provided as detecting resistances of said detecting circuit constituted in an IC, and transmission gates 41-48 are provided in parallel to them; and their control terminals S1-S4 are supplied with signals, and resistances between connection points O1-O1', and O2-O2' are set selectively according to logical levels.</p> |
