Method and arrangement for producing a bore with an undercut

First a cylindrical bore is made and then the undercut is made with a special undercut drill. A guide part is put into the end of the cylindrical bore. The front end of the guide part is shaped in such a way that it laterally deflects the undercut drill during its feed movement. The front end of the guide part preferably has a conical recess. This method enables undercuts to be made with simple means and in hard materials.
