A solid fuel-water slurry mixt. contains 100 wt.% of solid fuel-water slurry contg. 50-80 wt.% of solid fuel particles and 0.01-0.5 wt.% of a stabilizer. The stabilizer consists of 1-20 wt.% of one or more water-soluble polymers of natural rubber, its modified prods., PVA, polyacrylamide, carboxylmethyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl cellulose, and 80-99 wt.% of one or more granular inorganic substances of bentonite, attapulgite, sepiolite and chrysotile asbestos. The solid fuel particles have a geometrical average dia. of 74 microns or less.
