Method and device for the detection of double parts

For the detection of double parts in transport and in charging machines, two laser sensors (1 and 2) are arranged opposite each other. The laser sensors (1 and 2) in each case measure the distance (a1 and a2) to the surface of the parts running between the sensors. From the sum of the two distance measured values, the thickness of the parts passing through is determined. If this exceeds a limiting value, a double part is signalled. <IMAGE>
