PURPOSE: To obtain a nonwoven web having a uniform size in the lateral direc tion, a uniform fiber distribution and a uniform weight distribution by blowing air flows on the side surfaces of a melted resin extruded from the opening of a die having convergent side surfaces in a specific state. CONSTITUTION: A melt flow die 14 comprises a die main body 20 containing split molds 22, a die tip extended on the central line 44 of the die main body 20, an air chamber 24, a pair of air-deflecting plate assemblies 52, a pair of air plates 58, etc. Air flows distributed from the air chamber are mixed in a groove 214 through plural distribution holes 182, 184 and then released from the air plates 58 through gas-deflecting plates. |
