摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the communication capacity and maximum through-put of a system from being dropped by determining an intra-frame time slot length pattern appropriate for the distribution pattern of a packet length to be transmitted by a center station and selecting and transmitting a time slot less than the time slot length. CONSTITUTION:A satellite communication system is constituted of a satellite 2-1, the center station 2-2 and 1 to n plural terminal stations 2-3. A random access method with a slot for accessing each terminal station 2-3 at random and transmitting a packet toward a time slot on a common communication line is used for the communication from the terminal station 2-3 to the center station 2-2 through the satellite 2-1. On the other hand, a time division multiplexing method for executing the packet multiplexing of data to be transmitted to each terminal station 2-3 by the center station 2-2, transmitting the multiplexed data in a broadcasting mode and allowing each terminal station 2-3 to select and extract only the packet applied to the self-station is used for the communication from the center station 2-2 to the terminal station 2-3 through the satellite 2-1.
