PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording material capable of high-speed recording and excellent in long-time preservability, by a method wherein a precoat layer containing a porous filler and a heat-sensitive color forming layer are provided on a support. CONSTITUTION:A precoat layer containing a porous filler having an oil absorption value according to JIS K-5101 of at least 100ml/100g (e.g., silica) is provided on a support. The heat-sensitive color forming layer composed of a diazo compound of formulaI, II or the like, a coupler (e.g., phenol), a heat-fusible substance having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C (e.g., 2-tribromoethanol) and a heat-fusible or heat-softening binder having a melting point or a softening point of 50-250 deg.C (e.g., PVC) is provided on the precoat layer. If required, a film of a heat-resistant polymer resin having a melting point, a softening point or a decomposition point of not lower than 200 deg.C (e.g., a polyester) is provided on the color forming layer. The recording material can be advantagenously used as an output recording paper for a facsimile, an electronic computer or the like, which requires high-speed recording. |
