Extrusion head to mfr. tubular plastic film

An extrusion/take-off installation comprises a tubular film extrusion head, the film being inflated by compressed air. A tubular ring cooling device blows air on to the film surface providing initial cooling. The film then passes into a rectangular slot via air-blown tapered entrainment surfaces. Within the receiver unit the film is then flattened in compression/drive rollers. Immediately after this blades slit the edges of the film providing two sheets superimposed one on the other. Further blades may be set to produce different widths of sheet material. Various tensioning and drive rollers wind the film on 2 rolls. The receiver unit is capable of being rotated around the extrusion axis, 2 discs rotating on rollers up to 355 deg. and of being moved forwards and backwards on trolley.
