PURPOSE:To play at the same reference pitch with a natural musical instrument by determining the reference pitch associatively with a selection of timbre. CONSTITUTION:The pitch of a sound (reference sound) generated at the time of specific finger operation (e.g., 'doh') is regarded as the reference pitch and stored in a reference pitch storage means 30 by timbre kinds and when any timbre is selected, a reference pitch setting means 24 reads reference pitch corresponding to the timbre and sets it as the reference pitch. When the instrument is played by finger operation, the reference pitch is added to the scale corresponding to the finger operation to determine the pitch of sound generation. Consequently, the reference pitch of the natural musical instrument can be reproduced and a score can be used as it is even on a transposition musical instrument to facilitate the play. |
