PURPOSE:To accelerate the rise of a motor by providing a constant setter to set the initial value of the drive signal level of the motor to a desired value. CONSTITUTION:A reel motor 4 for driving a takeup reel 2 of a magnetic tape 1 is controlled by a motor control circuit. The control circuit is composed of a tape speed detector 7, a reference value output unit 8, a subtracter 9, an integrator 10, a system controller 12, an adder 13, an A/D converter 14, a motor driver 15, etc. A constant setter 11 is provided to vary the constant C of the integrator 10 in response to information such as tape amounts of reels 2, 3. As a result, settling time when the motor is risen can be shortened. |
