METHOD AND SYSTEM OF REDUCING PHASE ERROR IN PHASED ARRAY RADAR BEAM OPERATION CONTROLLER

PURPOSE: To reduce the phase error of a phase shifter by monitoring a fault of phase change elements in each phase shifter to correct a phase instruction. CONSTITUTION: A control electronic device 30 to a radar data processor 31 executes first energization for determination of a phase instruction free from faults by a means 32. A fault position determined by detectors 34a to 34e and the instruction free from faults is stored in a memory 36 and is determined by summing correction 38. Availability of summing correction 38 is determined by a comparator 40 based on whether correction can be achieved or not, and nearest correction 42 is performed if correction 38 is not available. Thereafter, an output phase instruction is supplied to phase change elements 46 to 46e.
