<p>PURPOSE:To assure high accuracy of a sheet thickness of a rolled product by detecting a sheet thickness in the stand outlet side, analyzing frequencies of the detected sheet thickness signal, extracting a spectral strength of a specific frequency from the detected data, and monitoring a sheet thickness control function based on the extracted strength. CONSTITUTION:A sheet thickness of a rolled stock 10 is detected by sheet thickness detectors 16, 18 at least in the stand outlet side where sheet thickness control is performed. Output signals from the detectors 16, 18 are analyzed by a frequency analyzer 20. A spectral strength of a specific frequency depending on rolling conditions is extracted from the analytic result and the result is inputted to an arithmetic unit 22. The unit 22 compares an attenuating ratio of the spectral strength with a draft according to a rolling schedule and whether stands normally operate is decided. A sheet thickness control function is monitored as such. Hence, monitoring of the sheet thickness control function such as AGC, etc., is easily and surely performed.</p> |
