摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve an easy and accurate evaluation of catalyst activity by measuring photoacoustic spectrum of catalyst material to evaluate the level of relative catalyst activity through comparison of the intensity in the spectrum. CONSTITUTION:There is no special restriction on the measuring apparatus and method. An ordinary photoacoustic spectrum measuring apparatus is used and a method is employed to match the measuring apparatus. In other words, because of a correlation between the intensity of photoacoustic spectrum and catalyst activity in various metal oxide, the propriety of the catalyst activity serves as criterion as max. current density (MCD) of a solid electrolytic fuel battery. Hence, the higher the intensity of spectrum the larger the MCD, allowing determination to be a high catalyst activity. This eliminates labor for the assembly of a battery or difference depending on measuring persons thereby enabling easy and accurate evaluation of catalyst activity.
